It’s your wedding day and you want everything to be perfect. The function suite at your venue is one of the most important factors to consider when choosing a Cheshire Wedding Venue. You’ll spend approximately 70% of your time in there. It’s not just a place to eat. It’s the focal point for your day and can be a game changer if your venue has designed this aspect well.  While you might think of your function suite as simply where you’ll be having a wedding breakfast, it’s so much more than that. It’s where your guests will take photos, make memories and celebrate after the ceremony has finished. It’s actually the backdrop to your day.

The Peel Suite is not just a place to eat – it’s a focal point for the day.

When you’re on the search for Cheshire wedding venues, pay particular attention to the function area as it is a crucial part of your wedding day. There are key things to consider:

How does the venue look in terms of decor?

The Peel Suite has a fresh, light and contemporary feel. The chairs, tables and decor are stylish – so you don’t have to use your budget ‘getting the room up to scratch’. It’s a beautiful backdrop for your day and wedding pictures. Colshaw Hall are constantly investing in this space, so you don’t have to – including a fresh new floor for 2023 that gives the space a bright, light feel!

Space is an important factor to consider when booking your Cheshire wedding venue.

You need to think about how many people you think you’ll be having for day and night guests. The space you’re looking for should be large enough to accommodate all your guests comfortably and allow them to mingle but not too large if you’re having fewer numbers. Colshaw Hall wedding coordinators have ten years’ experience designing the optimum room layouts for weddings of all sizes. Most people hold their wedding breakfast in the Peel Suite but if you’re hoping for an intimate wedding breakfast with just close family members and friends, then the Pavilion will be perfect for this type of wedding.

Don’t forget also that space works upwards too! Look out for ceiling height. The high ceilings in the Peel Suite make for better acoustics and give a dreamy ambience.

The ‘flow’ of the spaces and how they work together can make all the difference.

The ceremony should be held in a different space than your wedding breakfast and celebration. After your ceremony you’ll approach the grand entrance to The Pavilion, passing the lake and fountain as you do. This is the ideal welcoming area for a drinks reception and keeps the wedding breakfast room – The Peel Suite as a complete surprise to your guests. In warmer weather you’ll have a drinks reception in the walled gardens which are immaculate and a real talking point. Guests can step out from the function areas to enjoy drinks as well as some fresh air!  Our music system ensures that the music is played seamlessly indoors and in the garden too.

Your guests will also be amazed when they are welcomed into the Peel Suite. Every aspect has been cleverly thought out. The Pavilion also comes into play when you’ve finished your wedding breakfast. Guests can relax here while the team get The Peel Suite ready for a night-time celebration!

The bar area is close enough to where people are sitting so, they don’t have to walk far and there are areas for guests to chill out when they need a break from the dancing!

So, when you’re viewing Cheshire Wedding Venues, think about how your day will flow from space-to-space. Our spaces are designed to work harmoniously together.
