Colshaw Hall, where do I even begin!
I wanted a fairytale wedding & that’s what I got, thanks to this stunning venue and amazing team of staff!
We went for a weekday wedding, and I must admit we were slightly worried whether or not we were making the right decision… but let me just say this, if we had the choice to do it again and could chose a weekend or a weekday… I’d choose the weekday wedding every time!
From the moment we came for our viewing, we knew this was the place! Not only because of the venue itself being breathtakingly beautiful but because the staff felt like family. The whole team made this experience the best we could have imagined & they catered for a perfect day as though it was their own!
David was the most welcoming, down to earth guy and honestly made us feel as though it was literally our own home for the two nights we booked this out for. He has the best team of staff around him. They go above and beyond to give you everything you want even when you don’t know you want it!!
Our toastmaster, Stefan, was absolutely incredible! He made sure every single one of us (guests included) had a smile on our face and a drink in our hand at every second of the day! He was like our maid of honour / best man / best friend all in one! (He even helped the groom and best men smarten up, & thank god he did! 🤭)
All staff just made this experience for us, down to the security guard Barry, who looked after us the night before the wedding, & the ladies serving breakfast the next morning! Sarah our wedding coordinator (who helped me get into my huge dress and calmed my nerves) and all those involved throughout our journey including the accounts team, the housekeeping and the lovely gentleman who chauffeured people around in the golf caddy, every single person felt like family and went out of their way to make us feel so special for our big day. And honestly, it wouldn’t have been the same without them all – they are what made our special day come to life.
The caterers, Barrett’s, who are exclusive to Colshaw hall, were perfection! At first we were a little sceptical of having no choice of caterer other than Barrett’s, but OMG…. We could not have found better! Wow the food was amazing! Even our guests commented on how lovely the food tasted and the portion sizes being a great amount of food! It was so tasty and cooked to perfection, it was presented beautifully and the choice of menu was great!
The florists were spot on! So friendly & really handy having them on site too, I thought this was a great idea! They even have a show-room on site too! There was zero stress with the flower picking and planning & the staff were lovely and super helpful!

The grounds of this estate are absolutely incredible, and our wedding photos in this place look a million dollars!
The accommodation side is just truly beautiful, you will not be disappointed!
It’s so classy and tastefully dressed and the pods are amazing too!
My words cannot do this place justice and all I can say is please don’t just take my word for it… go and see it! The place just speaks for itself!
A huge thank you to all at Colshaw, you truly made it a perfect wedding day to remember, it could not have been better! ❤️
My advice? go for that weekday wedding and go for this venue. Make it perfect with Colshaw, after all you deserve it right?!
